The Youngest Candidate

First-time feature filmmaker Jason Pollock directs this documentary following the unique journeys of four idealistic American teens taking their tenuous first steps into politics by running for public office. While most high schoolers are busy thinking about what shoes they're going to wear on a given day, or who they want to be seen with in public, a small percentage of teens are devoting their thoughts to more pressing matters of democracy and freedom. By daring to confront the corrupt American political system and inspire change from the inside out, these four young candidates will learn important life lessons in leadership development, political bias, fair play, and family. At times the adversity seems insurmountable and the odds seem stacked against them, yet through it all they remain dedicated to their dreams and causes straight up to Election Day.
