The Truth About Silence is a real life story about Jessie Dorne, a sexual assault victim who attests to the tragedy that can arise from staying silent. One in five girls will be sexually assaulted before the age of 18, yet a shocking 88 percent of these cases go unreported. The documentary captures the horrifying emotions caused by sexual assault and inspires victims to get help. The Truth About Silence was accepted into the 2007 Artivist Film Festival, which took place at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California. Additionally, the film was presented as part of the Best of Artivist- world tour in Lisbon, Portugal, and London, U.K. In 2008, the documentary was ranked 5th on the Audience Choice shortlist and made the overall top 10 documentaries in the Babelgum Online Film Festival.
