Selvam (Prashant) unaware of the whereabouts of his father or his relatives. He brings his deranged mother to a village to cure her insanity; little knowing that it's his mother's birth place. Here he meets Vaidehi, Zamindar Vijayabupathi's daughter, and falls in love with her. Selvam is unaware that Vijayabhupathi is his mother's brother. Gradually he learns the truth about his mother and the injustice meted out to her, by Sundarapandy, a goon in the guise of a Zamindar. Sundarapandy has terrorized the village, and now it falls upon Selvam to free the villagers from his grip and save his family honor as well.
