Rome Against Rome

Rome against Rome is classic peplum with a horror twist. A zombified soldier rising from his coffin, Nosferatu style, is one of the macabre highlights. There's a deadly light that exits the eye of the goddess sculpture but luckily for Gehus, he is immune from it's power. The zombies here are very much in the classical zombie mold, rather than the post Night of the Living Dead flesh eaters. Here they are resurrected in order to perform as mindless slaves. The zombies are turned into fighting machines to destroy the Roman army. Dead soldiers rise up to defeat the Roman army in this so-bad-it's-good horror shlockfest. The zombies, appearing much like those in NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, are resurrected by an ancient goddess sculpture, but luckily, there is one man who is immune to her powers.
