Hoodz New York Bloods

This was an interesting documentary where one of the sets-tribes of the East coast bloods aka The United Blood Nation are visited and interviewed. This documentary basically spends a day with some of the east-side Bloods "lil homies" from a section of NYC known as "Murda Hill". It was very interesting to note some of the differences between the west coast’s bloods and east coast bloods. The most heavily noticed difference was the fact that the east coast bloods do not "set trip" or "color bang" like the west coast bloods is famous for. I wish they interviewed more older east coast bloods though, they pretty much stuck around the young dudes...the young dudes ussually wouldnt be privy to the meat of what their thing is all about. Even still there are very few documentaries about the east coast Bloods so i appreciate this film for finally going after a story that should have been analyzed nearly 15 years ago when the east coast bloods first began...if we had noticed and analyzed this back then, maybe this "gang-problem" that is paralyzing the east coast wouldn’t be as detrimental as it is today.
