Where _Walking With Dinosaurs (1999) (TV)_ took us through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Eras, Walking With Prehistoric Beasts examines the various Cenozoic eras, when mammals began to dominate after the massive late Cretaceous extinction that killed 65% of life on Earth, including the dinosaurs. This documentary discusses the most important of prehistoric animals who have emerged after the extinction of the dinosaur. It is a six part documentary starting from the first animals 49 million years ago, up to the more recent animals 30,000 years ago. Each part discusses the animals from a certain period. Like its predecessor, Walking with Dinosaurs, it recreates life by using a combination of both computer-generated imagery and animatronics.
